Hornsby Heights Camera Club - Who We are ...
Hornsby Heights Camera Club was started in 1978 by a half a dozen people interested in photography. The club began to meet in a private home in Hornsby Heights and after a few years joined the Federation of Camera Clubs of NSW and began to advertise to gain more members.
The club met for a time in a couple of homes in Hornsby and Hornsby Heights and now meets at the Mount Colah Community Centre, Pierre Close, Mt Colah. With the closure of Wahroonga Camera Club many of their members joined Hornsby Heights Club. This strengthened the club in both numbers and quality.
The advent of digital photography has revived the Black & White Section and increased the interest in the Colour Print Section and we now have a digital projected image section.
Our Aim ...
Our aim is to foster an interest in and the enjoyment of photography through the provision of competitions, workshops, lectures, outings and meetings with other camera clubs. It is anticipated that through a participation in these activities that each member would improve their photography.
